Bindi Irwin and her Mom Terri Irwin filmed an up coming TV show in their series Bindi, The Jungle Girl at the wildlife at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Needles, the Porcupine, who won fame in Sean Penn’s Into the Wild, clambered up on Bindi’s lap as she narrated her lines adding a bit of Australian humor and dialect.
While the staff bragged a bit to Terri about AWCC’s major role in filming Into the Wild, Bindi stated that we were all “a bit note of ourselves” (overstating accomplishments).
The constant rain was a concern to AWCC’s jackarro’s (animal handlers) but Bindi reassured the crew, “I’ll be apples!” (everything will be great).
“At least we won’t have to worry about the Mossies (mosquitoes),” she said.
The filming was limited to the smaller animals as the bull elk, bull moose and caribou are all wobbly (acting strange) and making blue (fighting amongst themselves due to the rut).
AWCC filmed a TV show about moose with Myth Busters late last winter, a Documentary about bears last June with the Discovery Channel, a MTV video in July and in August we filmed a show call European animal show called, Fascination Earth.
two feature films have been making inquires about filming with the AWCC moose in early this winter
