A heartfelt thank you to a wonderful group of community volunteers that showed up and worked from 9 a.m. until well past 5 p.m. in order to get our playground clean, sealed and ready for another season. Since the paint and woodchips were not available, we spent most of our time raking the current chips into an even surface, weeding around the fence and sealing every last picket surrounding the playground.
For recordkeeping purposes, thanks to the following Rotarians: Ken and Jen, Franz and Jen, Mike, George W, Hank, Larry, Ron, David and myself who all get a makeup for the event for which Ellen can make entries.
A great thanks to other community/playground volunteers including Gwen B, Maribel A, Linee D., Dick Day, Kotch B, Sean, Patrick, Ethan and a handful of other young painters who both played and painted. Be sure and thank anyone else who might have been involved or did not get this e-mail if you guys know of some other people.
Thanks again for coming out for this community project and see you at the Hotel for our District Governor’s talk and an official changing of the guard. Now Ron can really start working!
