TROOPER REPORT

The following incidents were reported to Detachment E of the Alaska State Troopers.


Driving without a license: On Sunday, April 8 at 10:26 p.m., troopers summoned Jerry L. Cook Jr, 27, of Girdwood to appear in court for driving without a valid operator’s license. Cook was operating a late 80’s model sports car and was stopped for speeding in the Girdwood area.


Failure to wear seat belt: April 4, at approximately 8:31 a.m. troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision at Mile 68 of the Seward Highway. Investigation determined that a 2005 Dodge truck, driven by Corey G. Vanduren , age 32, of Anchorage, was traveling northbound when he lost control of the vehicle, sliding off the road and hitting a snowberm causing the vehicle to tip over on its side. The driver and passenger were transported by paramedics to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver and passenger reported not wearing their seatbelts. The vehicle sustained approximately $8,000.00 in damages. Vanduren and his passenger were both issued a citation for Failure to Wear Seatbelt.
