Alyeska Food and Beverage Director resigns; resort owner thanks him for his work

To the Editor:

The Alyeska Resort Management Company has announced the resignation of Michael Flynn, Director of Food & Beverage at Alyeska Resort. Michael has led the Resort’s food and beverage department since April 2008. His passion for all things culinary and for southcentral Alaska is unsurpassed. As an active member of the Girdwood community and owner of the popular eatery The Bake Shop, Michael’s love for food and genuine connections with customers will continue to be an important part of this amazing community.

From his previous tenure at the Resort as Executive Chef through his time working with the current management team, Michael has continually raised the level of food quality and customer service throughout The Hotel Alyeska and ski area. I would like to personally thank him for his service and dedication to the Resort and encourage everyone who has enjoyed a meal at the Resort to join me in recognizing Michael’s contributions to our organization. During this time of transition, Brian Daggett will act as the interim Director of Food & Beverage.

Please join me in wishing Michael and his family the best of luck in their future endeavors.
