Blueberry Festival August 21 & 22

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Wine Tasting
The resort has partnered with Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars of Napa Valley for two special events during Blueberry Festival. Sample Stag’s Leap during a wine tasting from 1-4 p.m. on the Columbia patio both days of the festival. Tickets cost $25 and include two tasting tickets, light appetizers and a presentation by a wine expert from Stag’s Leap.
As a grand finale to blueberry weekend, Seven Glaciers Restaurant will be hosting a Stag’s Leap Wine Dinner on Sunday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. The Wine Dinner is $195 per person and room packages start at $249 per person. Reserve online or by calling 754-2237
Yoga Workshops
Alyeska continues its series of yoga sessions on Aug. 22 and 29 from 5-6:30 p.m. The sessions will include 90 minutes of Vinyasa flow yoga with guest instructor Allison Wilkey and access to The Hotel Alyeska fitness center and pool for the day of the session. Fungus Fair Concert
Just in time for prime mushroom picking season, Fungus Fair is a weekend of forays, naturalist presentations and workshops taking place Aug. 27 to 29. As part of Fungus Fair, Alyeska will host a free outdoor concert with the Denali Cooks in the hotel pond courtyard on Friday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. with opening act Andy Mullen. Fungus Fair Formal
Alyeska’s culinary team will create a fabulous multi-course dinner showcasing local fungus treasures with paired wines at the Fungus Fair Formal dinner on Saturday, Aug. 28. The evening also includes live entertainment and a silent auction benefitting the Girdwood Trails Committee. Tickets are available at the Tram Ticket Office or by calling 754-2275 and the cost is $100 per person or $600 per table for eight.
Costco Gift Cards
Alyeska Resort is currently running a gift card promotion through Costco Wholesale. The offer is for two $50 gift cards that can be applied towards any purchase at the resort with no restrictions or expiration dates. The cost of the gift cards for Costco members is $79.99 (20 percent savings). The gift cards will be available at both Anchorage Costco locations (Dimond and DeBarr) until Sept. 15.
