The following incidents were reported to Detachment E of the Alaska State Troopers.
Warrant Arrest: On Jan. 16, Tinoi Maae, 24, of Whittier, was arrested by the Alaska Bureau of Wildlife Enforcement, AST and Whittier Police. Maae was arrested on a $30,000 arrest warrant for assault II out of King County, WA. Maae was transported to the Anchorage Jail where he was remanded without bail and awaits extradition to Washington.
DUI: On Jan. 18 at approximately 1:33 a.m., Michele K. Oris, age 29 of Girdwood, was arrested for DUI after Troopers responded to a residence in Girdwood on a disturbance call. Oris was transported to the Alaska State Trooper Girdwood Post where the on-call magistrate was notified, and set Oris’ bail at $100.00 and not to be released until sober. Oris was later transported to the Anchorage Jail and remanded into their custody.
Motor Vehicle Collision: On Jan. 21 at approximately 5:06 p.m. Troopers responded to mile 88.8 of the Seward Highway on a reported single motor vehicle collision with injuries. An investigation revealed Linda L. Plumlee, 46, of Anchorage, was traveling northbound on the Seward Highway when she lost control of her 2003 Ford Ranger due to snow and ice conditions. The truck skidded across the southbound lane and struck the guardrail. The vehicle then crossed back into the northbound lane where it came to rest on the passenger side of the vehicle. Plumlee was transported to an Anchorage area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Motor Vehicle Collision: On Jan. 21 at approximately 5:56 p.m. Troopers responded to Vail Dr. near Stowe Dr. on a reported two vehicle collision. An investigation revealed, Tracy K. Stelling, 34, of Anchorage was northbound on Vail Dr. in a 2006 Chrysler 300 when she lost control of the vehicle. Stelling slid into the southbound lane and struck Julian L. Manos, age 17 of Girdwood, who had pulled over to the side of the road and stopped. Both drivers where wearing their seatbelts and no injuries ere reported. Stelling was issued citations for Basic Speed and failure to Provide Proof of Insurance.
