The Girdwood Center for Visual Arts would like to give a big thank you for all who turned out for our spaghetti feed/art auction. It was a fun night with a lively group all gathered to support your local gallery. The fundraiser is the biggest money
raising event for the gallery and your support gives us the needed funds to continue on.
The gallery has a great schedule of shows for the season so don’t miss out! Join us Saturday, 6-9 p.m. Oct. 4 for a First Saturday reception for Jen Jordon. Jordon’s main medium is woodblock prints and etchings but expect something different at this show. Jordon will be displaying her acrylic paintings titled, “Acrylic Paintings Inspired by Alaska.”
This show has special meaning for the artist. Jordon says,”My husband and I are being relocated to South Carolina soon so this (show) has become my way of saying goodbye to such a beautiful place.”
Please take an art break with us Saturday, Oct. 4. All can enjoy some wine and delicious hors d’oeuvres by Chair 5 as you marvel at the
place we call home. For more information please call 783-3209.
