Whittier held its Municipal Election Tuesday, Oct. 7. Three City Council seats were up for grab. Voter turnout at the polls was strong with 116 voters and 25 absentee ballots.
The results from the polls had Lester Lunceford, Mary Brenneman and Shannon Tolman all winning their selective seats.
Lunceford defeated second place finisher Chuck Price for Seat F on a vote of 91-39. Joe Shen, Robin Moore and Robin Baker all had one vote apiece.
Brenneman defeated Pete Heddell for Seat G on a vote of 78 -58. Joe Shen and Shawni Phillips each garnered one vote.
Tolman won Seat E over Shawni Phillips with a vote count of 59-48. Arlen Arneson received 29 votes.
Council members will submit nominations and cast their votes for Mayor and Vice Mayor at the Oct. 21 City Council meeting.
