SAKURA located on the third floor of the Hotel Alyeska at the top of the grand stair case features Teppan style cuisine. Watch as your chef prepares a masterful meal, featuring prime steaks, fresh seafood, and tender chicken and crisp vegetables with a variety of wine and sake selections. The adjoining Sushi Bar offers your classic sashimi and sushi created before your eyes by master craftsmen, paired with traditional sake, Japanese beer, or green tea. NEW AURORA BAR & GRILL located on the third floor of the Hotel Alyeska is a lively place to enjoy a NEW light lunch or full dinner menu, pared with your favorite beverage. TRAMWAY CAFE
located on the second floor of the hotel Alyeska offers your favorite coffee drink; you can pick up a bakery treat, breakfast burrito, tasty deli wrap, fresh salad, or a slice of pizza for a meal on the go. The Tramway Cafe is open daily from 7am to 6pm.
POND CAFE located on the second floor of the Hotel Alyeska, across from the fireside lobby offers a full breakfast menu. Build your own omelets, eggs Benedict, cinnamon French toast, and breakfast buffet or relax and start the day with a hot cup of coffee and a bagel. SITZMARK BAR AND GRILL open Sunday - Thursday 11am - 12am serving food until 10pm, and Friday and Saturdays 11am - 2am serving food until 12am. GLACIER EXPRESS sitting 2,300 feet above Mount Alyeska offers panoramic views of the surrounding valley and of Turnagain Arm. Enjoy halibut and chips, soups, salads, chili, sandwiches, wraps, and snacks all while taking in stunning views. After a day in the slopes treat yourself to a glass of wine or a cold locally brewed beer. Glacier Express is open daily when the Alyeska Aerial Tram is operating from 10:30am to 5:30pm.

New for 2008-2009 Season, Alyeska Resort Goes to RFID for Lift Ticket and Season Pass with Alyeska Access
What does Alyeska Access mean for me?
Alyeska Access using an RFID lift and/or season pass allows you to set up an automatic charge with a credit card, allowing you to directly access the lifts without waiting at the ticket windows. Alyeska Resort will debut a complete installation of radio frequency identification (RFID) gate technology and the Resort Technology Partners (RTP) software and web services system for the 2008-09 winter season. Purchase your RFID Lift Pass one time for $5 and use it for the rest of the season.
One great advantage for Alyeska skiers and riders is that the hands-free system means no more showing a pass at every lift. You place your lift ticket or season pass inside a pocket by itself and leave it there for the day; the antennas will do the rest. The reusable lift pass allows you to bypass the ticket window and head straight to the lifts by purchasing visits online.
After your day on the slopes, visit alyeskaresort.com and enter the web ID on the pass to track ski history and reload the card. On your next ski day, go straight to the lifts and skip the extra stop at the ticket office. To ensure efficiency of Alyeska Access system, skiers and riders can make sure the antennas read the chip in their pass by placing it in a pocket by itself. Do not put it in a pocket near cell phones, music players, metal ware or other passes. The ideal location is above the knees & below the shoulders.
The Alyeska Access system will provide a completely hands-free experience for you and your family, scanning lift tickets and season passes automatically at turnstiles positioned at the entrance to each lift including the tram, chair 4, chair 3 and chair 6. The scanners receive signals from the tickets that are tucked into jacket or pants pockets. The embedded RFID chip will register with an access gate that will automatically swing open to admit you. The less time you wait in line for lifts, tickets and rentals, the more time you have for fun.
Renewable Media – After this season, hang on to your new card (media). Passes and Cards will be able to be renewed online – never wait to pick up your card again.
Lift Ticket innovations. Once you purchase one lift ticket at any of our ticket windows and receive YOUR RELOADABLE lift access media, for subsequent lift ticket purchases you can go online and reload a ticket on to your existing lift access media.
You won’t have to stand in another lift ticket line all season!
Alyeska Resort is finalizing the over $3 million dollar lift upgrade for the Winter 2008-2009 season.
Chairlift #3 is being replaced with a fixed grip quad chairlift manufactured by Dopelmayrctec. The new lift alignment places the unloading station halfway between the old top station and the top of lift #7. The bottom station has been moved closer to the Sitzmark deck. The new fixed grip high speed quad lift will provide greater uphill capacity while eliminating a large amount of stops per ride due to passenger loading and unloading.
Chairlift #7 is being modified to include a midway unloading station and a conveyor loading system at the bottom station. These improvements will allow better utilization of the terrain for lower level skiers and allow the lift to be operated at a higher speed than in the past. Providing a more streamline access point for kids and adults accessing the beginner lift directly behind the Hotel Alyeska. Alyeska Resort will provide guests learning the sport a much easier loading and unloading experience encouraging them to come again and again.
