The Inn at Whittier features a marble-surfaced bar with a stunning waterfront view. Located on Prince William Sound, the Inn offers fine dining in a lighthouse tower design room. The Inn also provides luxury suites and rooms on the water. The Inn is under the new ownership of United Companies, Inc., a subsidiary of Sea Lion Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Hooper Bay.

Alaska’s award winning, luxury accommodation, The Inn at Whittier, re-opened May 29 under new ownership.
Scenically located along the bay and Whittier Harbor, the 25-room lodging and dining establishment offers guests lavish rooms, a gourmet restaurant and spacious lounge all with spectacular views of Prince William Sound.
“We are excited to offer the perfect location for visitors to stay between tourism excursions here in our great state,” said the new owner’s Board President Myron Naneng of United Companies, Inc. “Our fellow Alaskans can take advantage of its incredible amenities for weddings, company retreats, and other events.”
The restaurant in the Inn specializes in fresh seafood straight from the pristine waters of Prince William Sound.
Cocktails are served in a comfortable lounge, where patrons can watch passing boaters and view the Passage Canal wildlife from their ringside seat at the harbor entrance.
The Inn is highlighted by its lighthouse tower design. The lobby entrance is accented by a grand fireplace, extending an ideal area to relax or just read a book. Predominant windows along the water afford guests visions of the Sound and surrounding mountains, as well as a peek at the catch-of-the day delivered to the Inn’s dock.
Mountain and ocean view rooms, townhouse suites, and junior suites boast plush down-filled pillows, crisp bed linens, and tastefully appointed room furnishings. Meeting space includes high tech amenities while providing private seclusion.
“Besides the Inn at Whittier’s distinct architecture and beauty, we take pride in delivering world-class customer service that is unmatched in Alaska,” said Naneng.
The Inn at Whittier will be open year-round, with seasonal rates ranging from $99 to $399. Reservations can be made by calling 907-472-3200 or online at www.innatwhittier.com.
